LIN Ran

Linran, contemporary artist, investigator  & originator of new media image graphics and new media art, a young teacher of Xiamen Jimei University Academy of Fine Arts, graduated from the French Paris National College of Academy of Fine Arts higher plastic arts professional and Rouen France national higher academy with double master in 2008. She is reading drama new art as a Ph.D in Humanity Falcuty at Xiamen University .

用冰块冰封住的鸟笼,随着时间流失,冰块融化渐小,鸟笼囚禁住了化得小块的冰块。再随着时间消逝,冰块化成水蒸发成空气水分,再次包围囚禁了鸟笼。 用这样的一个囚禁和反囚禁再次囚禁的变化,来提出一个悖论的问题:自由是什么?究竟谁是谁的囚徒?

整个暗空间充满了移动着的数字01011000100和达尔文的著作《物种的起源》选段文字。 众所周知,0和1代表着计算机语言二进制数。二进制是18世纪德国数学、哲学大师莱布尼兹受到中国数学启发而发明的,也就是今天计算机的技术基础。这是20世纪第三次科技革命的重要标志之一。 而19世纪末达尔文的《物种的起源》奠定了进化论的科学基础,对20世纪的影响不仅仅是生物、医学方面,甚至于社会政治和意识形态精神层面也都影响深远。 在这个空间里,揉捏了这两种信息的动画,投影在整个空间的墙壁,天花板,地板上,观众进入这个空间的内部,就会成为这两种信息的显示屏,全身充满了这两种信息—进化论文字和计算机语言0100011。

这是用偷窥式的镜头解构内心支离破碎的镜面的影像。
在2007年的法国捷夫尼运动影像双年展上,我曾经把这些镜头安装成一个巨大的封闭式方形空间装置,观众可以走入它的腹地,满眼充斥着这些镜头,墙面、天花板、地面无所不在。镜头里面的“我”在茫然地做着各种事情。声音是画面的随机噪音。
2007年的法国蓬皮杜艺术中心《轨迹外》国际中短篇影像艺术节时,我又把它安装成一个微小的内窥式盒子,观众从猫眼偷窥这些镜头。偶尔听到几声沉闷而空旷的盒子内噪音。
2011年的福州新华艺术创意园《淡定–先锋艺术交流展》的时候,我又抛出这个影像让策展的朋友把它投影在展厅的地面上,此时仅有画面而无声。观众可以俯视这些画面,也可以从它上面走过。
随着时光流逝,对其中的许多镜头我有了更多新的想法。对于用噪音来表达也有了一些新的体会。这个影像装置在每一次展览的时候,都是不同时期我思考状态的呈现。我想,这是一个值得我再往下继续走的一个作品。偷窥自己的内心,而诚实的表达出来,这会是一个终身课题,像一本写给自己的影像《忏悔录》。

葛涵马是位于法国历史名城鲁昂城郊的小镇区。在二战以前,这里是一个巨大的池塘,她的名字“葛涵马”的法语Grand marrais就是大池塘,大沼泽地的意思。在这里,春夏秋冬有不同的动物栖居于此,她曾经是一个美丽的自然保护区。而二战后,为了安置战后失去家园的法国人民,法国政府把这块大池塘区域填平,盖上了一排排混凝土的安置房。也就是图片里我的作品中展示的那些房子。
2007年,鲁昂市政府决定迁出在这里居住了几十年的居民,改建这片土地,重新恢复葛涵马的原貌,并计划在此处建设文化艺术中心。为了启动这个文化艺术的项目,策划了这个拆迁前夕的艺术展览。而我,作为受邀请的艺术家,做了这件《葛涵马巨人》的作品。作品中,影像的“我”是个被建筑居所囚禁的巨人,在往屋外窥探。
人类以自我为中心,任意的改变世界,改变自然生态,到底失去了什么,又得到了什么呢?

夜色中投影的巨大萤火虫忽明忽暗,散落成无数飞散的小光点奔向各处。
我用这个像女性美好的而短暂的青春一样只能存活5天的生命体的形象作为展览迎接观众的契子,用以暗喻在现实社会皓月已难覆萤虫之光。

现场的墙上挂着代表着过去和历史的小脚女人照片,床上放着一盆海水,水中映出西蒙波伏娃的《第二性》的第二十五章[独立的女性]组成的一本《海之书》,一个年轻女性身着家居睡衣在床上轻声朗读这本《海之书》。

这个短片是2006年以我的一首同名散文诗《无题》为脚本,运用国画绘画技巧制作的动画,原创的电子音乐,讲述一个小女孩成长过程中的快乐,困惑与痛苦。影片运用逐帧动画和场景实拍非编剪辑的技术手法,把中国传统绘画技法与当代现实主义融合做了一次尝试。

刀俎,鱼肉?这是对女性精神深层的探讨,究竟谁是刀俎,谁是鱼肉?质疑于自我,自省于自我。如何挣脱这对女性自我身份默认和验证的束缚?最终鱼肉也将成为刀俎。

这是一个关于自我和他者的边界的探寻,一个关于私密空间与公共空间的疑问,一个关于人和城市和环境的思索。
影片开始于一个心灵独白的低吟声:“我总是,沿着你的足迹,去寻找边界,需找你轨迹里的出口,和入口。。。”
影片里那个很重要的一个元素“电话亭”像一个契子。 它是一个在公共空间里的私密空间环境,在电话亭的透明玻璃
内外似乎有着两个不同的幻想世界。这些幻想和对现实的怀疑就像生存在皮肤之下,难以触摸,却总是能够时时感知到
和涌现于眼前。
